The Painter

"The Art is in the Eye of the Beholder"

Inspiration

My paintings have their starting point in nature, in the real world or my memories. They are then abstracted step by step and layer by layer, more or less, while the original motif remains recognizable. Once in the macrocosm to the microcosm, on all levels. Nature depicted in relation to reality and fantasy. You could call it abstract realism. The abstraction of nature. Abstract enough to let the imagination run wild.

The pictures

are created from my memories and should awaken individual associations in the viewer. Each picture touches us individually in very different ways. I no longer give my pictures names because the picture itself strikes a chord in the viewer, triggers resonance and associations and moves him to interpret it. "True art lies in the mind of the beholder" As you look into the picture, it looks into you.

Aesthetics and harmony

are created from my memories and should awaken individual associations in the viewer. Each picture touches us individually in very different ways. I no longer give my pictures names because the picture itself strikes a chord in the viewer, triggers resonance and associations and moves him to interpret it. "True art lies in the mind of the beholder" As you look into the picture, it looks into you.
